Green Gamers

Sustainability and gaming all wrapped into one

Green Gamers is an environmental recreation group on campus that uses video games as a medium to engage students in sustainable behaviors and educate them on the topic of environmentalism. Our meetings usually entail gaming with environmental themes, whether that be board games or video games. Events that we’ve either done already or plan to do are things like Pokemon Go nature walks where we can engage in the Earth first hand while gaming, E-Waste initiatives where we encourage gamers to recycle their broken or unwanted tech, and movie nights where we watch films about games, the environment, or both!
